Abstract

This paper talks about a distinct phenomenon in the poetry of Lenkik Al-Basri that is the citizenship crisis, which was reflected in his life in general, and in his poetry in particular. Therefore, its features were shown up through disobedience and refusal of the living reality. In addition, there was no agreement with the society and the political authority. As a result, the poetry was the only breathe for him where he expressed a crisis in his poetry, which imposed itself on the poet in two pivots, which were represented in the objective and linguistic aspects. These found out this crisis and the methods that led to discover the psychological aspects which were confined to his life.
